Image copyrights from your shoot can be purchased in addition to prints
|
Unless
otherwise noted in your contract, each contract comes with permission to
use images for print or web publication, advertising, or
any other business related use in exchange for acknowledgement. The
acknowledgement is that, wherever the
image is displayed, a clearly readable caption is included that reads: "Image by Coolwaterstudios.com".
When used on the web a link to www.Coolwaterstudios.com is also included
on the text so your visitors can learn more about where to attain our
services.
No image caption is required if copyrights are purchased.
Unlimited and unrestricted copyrights can be purchased for each
image as noted below.

FAQs
Q Why do you charge for image files if they are
included in my contract?
A: Wedding and mitzvah
contracts include high resolution images at the end of the
contract only. This is done so we can include any retouches
(which are free) that have been done in the process of
ordering prints and albums. We offer our
contracting customers one free advanced image
for the following
purposes:
- One engagement image file for announcement
- One wedding image file for announcement
- One yearbook image file for school yearbook
Photographers rely on the
sales of four things to keep in business: shooting, prints,
albums and retouching. It is in our best interest to
sell as many prints as possible before relinquishing images
for copyright. Unfortunately, photographers learned that not
all clients are honest and they have reproduced our images
without our permission and sold or given them to others
which cuts into our profit.
Q Why is your logo on the prints?
A: It is highly illegal to make unauthorized copies of
images supplied by any studio. Unfortunately, it is all to
easy to copy images and reproduce them. This is why our logo
is on our prints. In order to satisfy both domestic and international
copyright laws, our logo must be affixed to the front of the
image. Our policy is backed by
the international copyright community.
